Krishna goes to the Kaurava court as the Pandavas’ messenger. His divine Vishvarupa reveals that the envoy cannot be contained by royal power. The sacred account remembers even the blind Dhritarashtra receiving the vision. Thiruppadagam honours that greatness through the immense form of Pandava Thoothar: the Lord who accepts the work of a messenger for his devotees.
The ASI account identifies a Pallava brick shrine, later Chola hall and Vijayanagara entrance works. Its inscriptions record everyday support for worship, including a merchant’s garden gift and cows given to sustain a perpetual lamp.
